| I'm currently in Tokyo for two weeks, working on a little documentary-type bit with Daniel Herbertson (www.mmafighting.com/japan) and Matt Benyon (www.thegrapplingdummy.com). I'll be shooting DEEP tonight, and Pancrase next week, as well as going to some of the famous gyms around Tokyo and interviewing/training with some fighters. If you'd like to check out my updates, hit up sekaiichi.tumblr.com. Any feedback is much appreciated! Thanks a lot, guys. |

Let us know when some of that footage is up, i'd love to watch.
How you coping with the heat at the moment?
I will be over there on Wednesday, hopefully cooling down a bit, grappling in Japanese summer is like trying to roll in a bath tub... |

Hey man,
Sorry I got busy and didnt leave results,
It was an absolute war, 1st round Lima was bitching oz with greco against the cage, oz had pretty good dirty boxing in and managed to get a couple elbows threw, Lima was a bit tense and didnt manage to pull any thing big off.
2nd round daniel copped a small cut above the eye from oz elbows in clinch, oz had nothing against lima standing, lima came through with crazy leg chops and massive jabs/straights and hooks, most of them landing.
then mid way through 2nd and 3rd rounds, oz got a few take downs, lima got a few take downs and they were both exhausted on the ground, lima couldnt manage to get into a dominent position and held oz down in his guard.
The judges called a split desision in oz`s favour, I thought it was either a draw or like Lima 30 - 29 It was too close and won fight of the night.
Thought I would take the time to explain to ya incase you dont get to watch it, many people are saying different things about the fight...
I am training at SHOOTING GYM KOBE, during the hottest summer in Japan in the last 113 years haha |
