Currently only train kickboxing, I always wanted to train BJJ as well but couldn't afford both the two memberships at once. However starting this January my kickboxing gym is bringing in a BJJ instructor and since I'm already a member I will get a reduced rate on the BJJ classes, so soon I'll be training BJJ as well

I get my BJJ for free. Smile I do the accounting/economics stuff for the club. I bet you could do a deal if you really want, maybe clean the mats Wink Something that is usually needed. Just an idea. Smile

so, finally started BJJ today as the new program at my gym started. Gonna be good to have a balance, have had the standup for a while but need some ground skills. Unfortunately can only train kickboxing twice a week and jiu jitsu once a week because I also have full time school and part-time work, but I'm glad that I'll start to have an all-around game soon

Good stuff! I really enjoy BJJ, really all I can fit in now and I really want to improve but its hard to find the time. Have been doing it for over a year now, but still suck. Smile

at the end of class I rolled with a guy who was a bit bigger than me and I did alright, got a pretty nice sweep from the bottom and almost got his back, but then I gave up my back and when I stood up he standing RNC'd me... I feel like Frank Trigg

Do you box like Boku? I'd love to have hands like that, but I swing like Giant Silva..maybe a bit worse.

Yeah, MMA, if your at a good gym, is very family orientated and if you do favours, youl get favours in return,
Offering to do a big weekly clean of the gym can get your foot in the door for free training, belive me, ive done it! But don;t go soft in your cleaning, do a good job! haha

In my case it all happened when I met my Samurai bloodline Japanese mrs who is a huge K1 fan haha, After prior training in Muay Thai/KickBoxing> Went to Japan for a month and did Japanese kickboxing at SFK > Saw the No-Gi class once a week > Became adicted to Japan/MMA > Returned to Australia > Joined Five Rings Dojo MMA Team > Helped out with fight Promos such as XPLOSION > Met the Oceanic rep of INSPIRIT > Joined the Inspirit Rep team as Oceanic Marketer/Designs > Traveling/Living/Training in Japan partially each year since cheers

Loving it! My next trip is 30 days at Shooting Gym Kobe, I am thinking about making a daily blog type thing with info/vids/pics if anyones interested!
