This is where I trained in Japan. I only did BJJ, but really enjoyed training at Paraestra Kashiwa and some of my best memories from Japan are from there.
It costs 10,000 yen to join (there is normally a coupon on the web site that gets you that for free) and 10,000 per month. That gives you access to 3 dojos: Kashiwa, Matsudo and Chiba. I have never been to Chiba, and the Matsudo dojo has moved to a new location since I was there.
Other things that have changed is some instructors have been added: Koyama is doing some Shooto classes at Kashiwa and Ogikubo is doing some classes at Matsudo.
Schedule Kashiwa:
-Monday 19.00- Shooto (Matsune)
-Tuesday 19.30- BJJ (Tsuruya)
-Wednesday 19.00- Shooto (Koyama)
-Thursday 19.00- BJJ (Konno)
-Friday 19.00- Shooto (Matsune)
-Saturday 19.00- BJJ (Konno)
-Sunday 15.00- BJJ
Classes normally start with 30min. technique and after that its free sparring until 22.00-22.30. Thursday BJJ classes normally had a bit higher level and there were usually 3-4 blackbelts there for the free sparring.
Schedule Matsudo:
-Monday 19.30- BJJ (Tsuruya)
-Tuesday 19.30- Shooto (Kawabata)
-Wednesday 19.00- BJJ (Ouchi)
-Thursday 18.00- Muay Thai special class (Kawabata+Thai coach) Looks like it is junior first (until 19.00)
-Friday 19.00- Kick (Kawabata)
-Saturday 20.00- Shooto (Ogikubo)
Kashiwa and Matsudo are relatively close, and as you can see between these gyms you can train either Shooto or BJJ everyday, for the price of 1 gym. I loved training there and the people are very friendly. They mostly speak Japanese but if you are patient, you will get across what you want, I highly recommend these gyms!
